Refuge 419, an outreach of Fishermen’s House Church, is designed to meet the needs of the youth and children in the South Tulsa Area. Our focus is on the youth and their families in the 61st and Peoria Neighborhood.

Refuge means a safe haven, a safe place. In the Old Testament, the Israelites had refuge cities throughout the land, where people in trouble could come and receive help. We want to be that for our neighborhood, a safe place where people can come and receive help.

419 stands for Matthew 4:19, in which Jesus told his disciples to "Come follow Me and I will make you fishers of men". This verse expresses our desire to see people changed, to help them learn how to be a productive member of society, to see them grow and mature in the gifts and talents that God has given them.

Our desire is to equip the young people of this community with the knowledge, character, and skills necessary to excel in all areas of life. We believe that given the right opportunity, and a lot of encouragement, the youth of this area will rise up out of the poverty lifestyle.

Refuge 419 is currently under hiatus.
